Using the website
The pages on this site are for information about the studio and for sending an enquiry. You may not scrape the site, post the copy as your own, or use the form to send bulk or abusive messages. We may refuse or delete an enquiry that looks automated. The site is hosted on shared infrastructure in Canada and may be unavailable during maintenance.
Booking and confirmation
An intake or a package is booked when we reply in writing with a time and you accept. The form on contact.php is a request, not a confirmed slot. The roster is capped at forty active clients; we may place you on a wait of one to three weeks. Nothing is charged before the intake. After the intake, packages are invoiced by e-transfer or card and are payable before the first packaged session.
Cancellation, packages and freezes
Cancel a session 24 hours or more in advance and the hour returns to your package. Later than that, or a no-show, uses the session. Packages remain valid for 120 days from payment. A freeze of up to thirty days for illness or travel is available by e-mail to [email protected]. Money questions — cooling-off, partial refunds, medical stops — are set out in the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
On the floor
You agree to wear indoor shoes, to use the kit as coached, and to tell us before a session if a joint is loud, if you are ill, or if a practitioner has changed a restriction. We may stop a movement or end a session if we judge it unsafe. Harassment of anyone in the room is grounds to end a package without a refund of used hours. The four-person cap on the floor is a studio rule, not a suggestion.
Health and responsibility
Fitandfocusedlife provides fitness coaching, not medical care. You are responsible for telling us about injuries, illnesses and limits, and for speaking with your physician before a new training program. We do not diagnose, treat or rehabilitate. If you arrive in an acute flare we will cancel the hour without using a session and ask you to see a physician or physiotherapist. Training involves effort and a risk of soreness or injury; you accept that risk when you book.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Courts in British Columbia have jurisdiction. If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update this page; the year at the top will change when we do. Questions: [email protected].
